Aberconwy's elected conservatives, Guto Bebb MP/AS, Janet Finch-Saunders AM/AC and Dr. Kay Swinburne MEP/ASE all took to the platform to speak at the upbeat, engaging Welsh Conservative Conference in Llangollen.
Andrew R.T. Davies AM/AC, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives in the National Assembly for Wales praised the work Guto Bebb MP/AS and Janet Finch-Saunders AM/AC have done for Aberconwy's residents and Wales as a whole, following in the footsteps of the late Lord Wyn Roberts.
Guto Bebb MP/AS was asked to speak in the Session on the United Kingdom, sharing a platform with David Mundell MP/AS, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Scotland. Guto bristled with optimism as he took the opportunity to highlight the strengths of the UK to all four home nations, Wales especially. Guto also took part in a Tory Reform Group fringe event, "Scroungers or Strugglers", discussing what can be done to encourage people back into work. In both cases, Guto's contributions were very well received.
Janet Finch-Saunders AM/AC contributed to the Health Session, led by Darren Millar AM/AC, exposing the catastrophic meltdown of the NHS in Wales under Labour's tragic mismanagement. Janet was joined in her criticism by the Rt. Hon. David Cameron MP and the Rt. Hon. Jeremy Hunt MP, Secretary of State for Health, who opened the conference.
Wales' representative in the European Parliament, Dr. Kay Swinburne led the Europe Session. In the lead up to the 2014 European Parliament elections she made the case for voting Welsh Conservative for a strong voice for Britain in Europe. Kay took the opportunity to lay bare the Labour, Lib Dem and Plaid Cymru stances on Europe, favouring even more integration (and inevitable bureaucratic red-tape), as well as UKIP's unconstructive approach to championing the cause of Britain in the EU.
