Daily gridlock and long traffic delays at peak times on the A55 must be addressed immediately says the Assembly Member for Aberconwy, Janet Finch-Saunders AM.
Following numerous concerns raised, the member has written to the Welsh Labour Government Minister, Edwina Hart AM – who is responsible for the tunnel improvements – to express some of the immense anger and frustration felt by many road users using the A55
In a written response, the Minister Edwina Hart AM has promised to review the works to look for some improvement opportunities in order to address the current chaos.
Janet added: " I do have some genuine concerns that the Welsh Government do not fully appreciate the scale of the issue for many of my constituents who are becoming very frustrated indeed with some of the associated logistical effects of the tunnel improvement works"
“It is imperative that the Minister and officials from the North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agency take swift and effective action to combat these unacceptable delays and overall impact to traffic problems at peak times, which are really impacting on the daily lives of our residents.”
